Tree Dweller

This drawing of an alien tree dweller has been in my sketchbook for several years. The original inspiration came from me noticing a knot on an old oak tree. It was shaped kind of like a small face looking out from the hole. This darling is the result.

When I was little I often drew little creatures and aliens, but this guy is one of the most recent that really made me start doing more creature concept drawings. So you have him to thank for the "Creature Files" section of X-tropia. You owe a lot to him. Go ahead, give him a little kiss. Oh, yikes! Sorry, I forgot to warn you that he bites and that he hates to be kissed. Oh well, live and learn I guess.
